13 days later...

So, I have been away for about 13 days. No, as much it looks like, it wasnt mean to be a hiatus. Instead, it was due to Singtel whose modem spoilt. Or so it seemed.

It all started a few days before the fateful day, Singtel started to give me problems. For some reason, the modem will occasionally reboot, or rather lose power and then restart itself. All those while I thought it was just Singtel being the usual fuckers and screwing around with people's modems.

The modem, of course, died a few days later. That night, it suddenly lost power again for no reason. I thought it was just one of the buttfucks but then the modem didnt come back online. The power light just went red, and suddenly everything was silent. I checked the tv, nothing, mioTv's gone. I checked the housephone next, and there was nothing, it was like as if radio frequencies didnt exist at all. Everything was silent, not serene, but silent.

I felt totally disconnected from the outside world. The only way for me to communicate with other people was through my old K610i, which was already failing me.

Next day, my parents and I went to Singtel Hello! Store to ask about the shit, seems like they're sorta fully booked and fastest they can get it is 13 August, seriously, 13 days without internet, mioTv and housephone is retarded, its not even funny. However, the only good from this incident is that I got a new phone. Its a lovely W705. Yes, its a Sony Ericsson, dont like it, bite me.

I had to choose between C903 and that. It was obvious which was better so I chose this phone, and it actually looks kinda great. It had a little edgy boxy feel to it but the red-black color blends well with each other and it had a rather big screen. Enough talk, here comes pictures....








Yes, I admit initially I wasnt very happy with my purchase. After all, I wanted either considering a PIXON, and really wanted an INNOV8 or OMNIA II, but got this instead. However, I soon found out other than the 3.2 meg camera, the rest of this phone's features are better than PIXON. Granted it did not have touch screen but it has freaking WiFi.

I don't know about you but for me thats already freaking awesome. Besides, my old phone's jack had problem and couldnt detect a headset. Now I can finally listen to music after 2 years of suffering.

Lol.

So during this 13 days without internet, it was kinda like hell for me. Suddenly I couldnt check my mail, couldnt check out the latest new on Digg.com, couldnt talk to friends online or do my online work.

Worst still, I had PW. Yes, all JC people should see this from a mile away. Having no internet and trying to do EOM + WR was kinda of an impossible task. I was so used to having information at a click away, that now I feel totally at a lost when I had to 'research' on my project. How exactly did people find information before the age of internet? Book? Newspapers?

Cant really imagine what research used to be.
