So we went to scout for food over at Tampines Central. We tried Tampines Mall initially but to no avail as it was a half day for most people and we decided to go Tampines 1 instead.
We chanced upon this restaurant called F.I.S.H. Turns out it was kinda like a sister branch of Fish & Co. The deal they offered seems pretty enticing for a bunch of hungry guys and after some deliberation (which frankly wasn't needed), we entered and got ourselves a nice cozy four seater near the foot of the staircase - it has two storeys!
The deal was that we could order a main dish, and add an extra $5.90 for a salad buffet. That, or we could order a main course which has a dish and salad buffet included. I would recommend going for this instead as it is more worth it than the former deal. Unfortunately the menu wasn't as diverse and some of the choices look pretty similar. All of them had complicated names though and we didn't know what were we ordering other than the type of meat. Anyways, we each ordered a different dish and figured we could just share later on.
The moment we were done with the ordering, we set off for the Salad buffet. If right now, you're picturing four guys rushing off to a vast selection of cut vegetables and salad dressings, you are half wrong. Or half right. It doesn't matter. My point is, the 'salad' is not referring to your average mixed vegetables. No. True, there are a few such typical dishes there, but that's of it. Other choices vary from flavours like Seafood, Prawn + Pineapple (I love this one), Salmon and Chicken. These may serve as appetizers to spice up your meal and when you are ready to take on some heavy eating and the main dish has yet to arrive, feel free to rape the spaghetti available. (There might be shrimps in the Spaghetti FYI)
Overall, the splendid potpourri of Salads, complete with the generous selection of dressings from Caesar's to Thousand Island, to Parmesan cheese or even Sour Cream for the crispy Nachos, helped satisfy a few hungry men's stomach. As I said, this was a buffet so everything is free flow.
The rest of the meal was alright compared to the salads, which I believe was really the selling point of the restaurant. The main dishes paled in comparison. Or perhaps it was just the half Spring Chicken that I ordered. However the mediterranean fish tastes great and is reminiscent of the original fish and chips from fish & co. I guess fish is really their forte after all.
To add a note, there are magazines available for customers to read so really is a good place to hang out and just chill after a heavy meal. This, of course, denotes that the ambience and atmosphere is rather ideal for 'lepak' sessions.
Just to say that I don't usually write about restaurants but I was sincerely impressed by the presentation and the probably the spread too. Perhaps so much that I decided to dedicate a post to it. Sadly, no pictures were available but I assure you the next time I visit that place again (which I'm hoping will be sometime soon), I will remember to take some.

On another note, four days of holidays just breezed by. This was supposed to be my transition period (insert puberty joke) yet I'm kinda just let it slip away. Seriously sometimes I don't know what to do anymore. I could just sit in front of the computer for the whole day and when night falls, regret eats at my soul, itself wounded and beaten. Begging, promising to start anew the tomorrow. Only to revert back to its old habits by the next morning.
Should this carry on, my A level results would be devastating.
Yet I am plagued by this disease I try so hard to get rid of.
My only salvation comes in the form of your voice. Even pixels that make up your face seems to help sometimes. Memories, however, are the real saviour, ever soothing the aggravated me, reminding that there is something, still left in this world. Someone, worth living for.
With that in mind, I shall hold on.
Ringed fingers. Hands clasped tightly, resting gently against the soft elusive sand.
Moodring shifting hues between shades of lavender, hazy amber, mermaid blue.
