Thanksgiving on a winter night.

Alright I know I kinda promised a friend of mine that I'll blog on Friday night, that now it's Sunday night and approaching Monday but hey, better late than never eh?

So it's been more than a month since I last entered a post. I have to admit, laziness was for the most part but I did really try to blog, however to no avail. I drew up a few drafts but kinda scrapped it after a paragraph or two. For some reason, I just didn't really feel like blogging. When I started out I did have the intention in mind of letting people to read my blog and having a steady number of followers. However I kinda got sick of churning out posts about my life (hold on, it gets hypocritical later) to entertain the hoi polloi soon after. Instead, I stopped publicizing my blog and tried to concentrate on using it as a well for me to pour my emotions and feelings into.

Although, as of recent times, it gets increasingly difficult to do that. Those who know me well enough and I trust, should know why.

Anyways, let's not dwell on that any further. Here comes updates.

Over the course of 1 month+, I've watched, like probably a dozen films or something, both in cinemas and torrents of older movies. Of course, Inception was a hell of a movie. As I've told many people, it is a 100% cinema material. If not, at least wait for a DvdRip or summat coz watching it on cam is seriously spoiling the mood, and totally ruining the experience.

Trust me on that one. So if possible, quickly go catch it before they stop showing it in theaters.

I was going to do a review but given the nature of the movie, it is pretty hard to do a good review without including any spoilers. Major spoilers are undoubtedly avoidable but its the little leaks that I'm afraid of. Even knowing lil' facts about the movie wouldn't be nice. In fact, don't even read the summary. Yeah, just go into the cinema without expecting anything but an adventure. That's all I can tell ya.

Or maybe you can just accept the fact that I'm prolly too lazy to do a review.

Oh and btw,

Tell me you see something here, seriously?

I mean it's Christopher Nolan. I respect the man for glorifying Batman and of course giving us Inception but you think with all that genius in him (he wrote the script for Inception FYI), he coulda done better with the posters.

Oh well, at least it was tons better than

Imagine the amount of effort they put into publicity for 'Yama & Shizu'. *Shudders*

On another note, I just caught this movie on Saturday night, while my parents were away on mahjong, leaving the serenity of an empty house all to myself. It's called Mr. Nobody.

Now, if you do check it out, please don't judge the film by its cover. Both literally and figuratively. First, you might have noticed that the main character is played by Jared Leto. Now most of you might have known him as the lead singer of 30 Seconds to Mars but in fact he is a pretty damn good actor and he was in Fight Club. Yes. Now that might just enticed you to watch the film. He's amazing in this film by the way as the plot and screenplay really brings his knack for acting to light.

At any rate, the film's tagline 'Nothing is real, everything is possible.' kinda gives you the feeling like you're gonna watch something similar to idk, Inception or something which is somewhat true? There might be some similarities you will find while watching the movie but at the end of Mr. Nobody, you will find it to be an entirely different experience. The film however, as I said, does exhibit the same feel as Inception.

While most films have a general direction that leads you along its plot, Mr. Nobody places you in the middle of nowhere. From thereon, the movie presents you with a ton of ideas, each only serving to make its predecessor seem illogical. Confused, you will be, but not lost. Most of the time I find myself questioning the point of the movie, and you would most likely too. Yet, you would still more or less understand the dendrites of the film. Wild guesses are most certainly welcome but until you are about 2/3 through with the film, they won't be easy to conjure. Till' then, the pandaemonium will only be tentative.

Once again, I implore you to check out this film. I'm pretty sure that many of us, in one way or another, can relate to the main character. Or at the very least the conclusion of the film, albeit not to the same extent. If you get it that is - the conclusion I meant, not the extent part.

So there you have it, I believe I am satisfied with my post and I promise I will try to blog more often. Disclaimer first, of course; With the new timetable I'm not exactly sure if I'll be able to keep up. But I'll try.

I should really stop letting the shadow of my past hold the present hostage.
