A glimpse beyond the illusion.

Well first of all, updates.

I got my Sony Ericsson back from the service center, after 3 weeks of using an old SE, to a friend's Nokia, to an old Motorola phone. I guess for those who don't own a separate mp3 and uses the handphone as one, it kinda sucks to have your phone being in service. Long commute becomes all but unbearable without the ability to drown oneself into music. Other than the usual habit of mine to observe people or daydream, its really agonizing to not be able to sing along to your favourite tunes blasting into your ears.

Secondly, there has been rumours that the Cuatro Fantasticos is having a reunion. Lol. After MYE though, right now it's just exams for everyone. Seems like it's time for La Thinga to make a comeback. I'm so stoked.

Hahahaha...

Well yeah thats about it.

Now what's left is to get my engine back to its former glory. C'mon I know I can do it. I should be racing along the lines on the asphalt, obliterating my competition with my supercharged v8 engine with its 1337 horsepower. All those rich people with stock supercars like Koenigsegg CCX or even a Bugatti Veyron, couldn't possibly stand up to me.

Well that's what I believe my epitome to be. Obviously I haven't reached it currently. The only time I ever achieved my top speed was after my SA2 during secondary 4. It was spurred by a desire so huge to overwhelm my competitors that I placed my pedal to the metal, charging my way through the crowd and leading the pack. Even with their nitrous boosts they could not catch up. And then as soon as it arrived, it disappeared. Just, poof. All of a sudden. After my prelims, I just lost it. Perhaps the engine wasn't mature that time. I don't know.

It was just like those wildlife documentaries you always watch on Discovery Channel or Animal Planet. You know, those vast plains of savannahs where the cheetah is filmed stalking the prey, slowly, inching his way towards it. Eyes fixed on target, muscles contracted and ready to spring into action. Then all of a sudden, it launches itself into a rocketed acceleration and leaving dust trails in its tracks.

What has my engine got to do with that, you might say. Well, something the cheetah gets the prey. Other times, well let's just say it was the deer's lucky day.

Like cheetahs, my little but high powered trusty engine seems to be able to only hold its maximum speed for a short while before lactic acid takes over and I have no choice but to slow down.

Which is why I'm afraid history would repeat itself. It may be an excuse, idk. But I felt that if I start to give it my all now, I would be burned out by the time the prelims arrive.

Well, I've been known to be a sprinter and not a long distance runner, after all.

Bottomline, I really hope to wake up before it's too late.

Salvation is slipping away, and I'm not letting go anytime soon.

On another note, I was talking to a good friend of mine about well, blogging. And I mentioned an analogy which we realized was pretty damn accurate.

You see what happened was that he had just recently updated his blog with 2 new posts in one night. Well, his blog. Its really a good place for me to just sit down with a cup of hot milo (cocoa for rednecks) and enjoy a good read. He usually have these interesting point of views that I can't help but agree. It has become more frequent in recent days by the way. The thing is, however, that he doesn't update it on a regular basis. (Still more often than me, though)

You never know just when these posts are gonna appear. I mean it could take days before he carves out a post. But good things are like that, huh?

So yeah imagine my surprise when I entered his blog address an hit 'enter' and saw two post updates the other day.

And I likened it to being like checking out for a new manga update and being surprised to see two new episodes.

Coz it's just like that. Seeing a different large crimson heading followed by a noticeably foreign wall of text just makes you think to yourself, 'Hell yeah here we go. Now what do we have here...'

Damn right, eh?

So that's about it. I'm still trying to overcome the laziness to shift into the 2nd gear and start rollin'.

Did not do much studying today. I'm afraid I'll have to rush through my chemistry and math tomorrow. Maybe even just a crash course would suffice, coz it seems like there ain't enough time left on the clock.

Still gotta conquer my Biology and Econs.

The war between students and A levels is starting. And I'm right smack in the middle of it.

Hayley, give me strength.

Lay your weary head to rest,
don't you cry no more...
