Let me explain the situation first,
Okay so obviously everyone by now should've known that Japan recently suffered a horrific natural disaster. It's been everywhere and if you're able to get on the internet to read this there is no fucking way you don't know about it.
Anyways, since it occurred I've noticed that the topic #prayforjapan has started to trend on twitter. With some of my friends trending it too. One even started retweeting multiple prayforjapan tweets.
Now it's not like I have anything against Japan or anything but honestly? Do you think praying to some assumed existence of an entity is going to save the entire country from the disaster?
It has already happened. Focus on helping the poor folks. I'm talking about donations and stuff like that. Things that can actually make a difference. Not sit on your ass reading tweets off your iphone and retweeting them to show that you 'care'.
Before you start judging me, I have to say that I have nothing against most religions. And if you really think praying is going to help them, then by all means go ahead. None of my business.
But don't you start pestering people to join in you're efforts.
Some may say that when more people pray, the more it 'gets noticed'. Really?
Let's put it this way. Millions are suffering now in Japan. Many are religious. Don't you think they would've prayed for their own safety, and that their god would 'notice'?
It's like when you're in WoW. You experience a problem and send a ticket to GM. Sometimes it gets noticed and he replies you, solving your problem. Sometimes, not so.
However, in times when disaster strikes, let's say, a major glitch, like upon entering Stormwind one gets teleported to Ogrimmar that sort of shit, I'm sure many people would sent tickets.
Which I feel is unnecessary in the first place.
Obviously, GMs would be monitoring the servers almost 24/7 and shit like that doesn't go by unnoticed for long.
So as for Japan's case, I'm pretty sure whatever saviour the people are referring to would've have noticed it.
And if the saviour truly exists, why the fuck would he/she ever allow such a thing to happen to those folks. People who are saying that 'he' does this so that we will know the extent of his wrath and to remind us 'he' exist, are sick fucks.
My view, is that yes, there's a probability that God exists. But He is not exclusive to us humans. As such, He does not exist solely to save us from destructions.
And if He exists, then his job is to watch over the entire existence of the universe and well, do things as he pleases. We then, are mere pawns.
One thing I find even more ridiculous is that when people's prayers go unanswered, they respond by saying 'Oh, it's god's will then.'
Well then if its god's will all along then why do you even bother praying.
Seriously.
Okay, I digress.
Back to topic. So, after a while I sorta calmed down about the whole prayforjapan. But then that someone on twitter began announcing about an event he and his friends are organizing, called DanceforJapan. (Because dancing is totally what comes to mind when one thinks of providing aid)
I'm assuming, at best, that they are doing it for charity causes. You know, raise awareness and shit like that. Which is still pretty redundant if you ask me since well, which dumbass wouldn't know about it by now.
Apparently, I think its dumb and worst case scenario, they're just using Japan's misfortune as an excuse to dance and show off their 'talents' and garner attention.
Honestly, I don't see how dancing is ever going to help Japan in any possible fucking way. If, IF, you're talking about those slow emotive dances that invokes sadness in people, then maybe there's some meaning to it. But no, as much I don't know him that well, I know enough that the only dance he knows are hiphop and stuff like that. Namely popping.
So yeah. Pop away while Japan suffers.
Because you're cool like that.
Seriously, I'll like to see how you react when someone you know passes away (touch wood) and all your friends turn up at the wake in baggy clothes with a wide selection of fashion disasters and start dancing along to some weird tunes.
Man, it feels so good getting that off my mind.
