It is pretty late for me to suddenly bring this up, but I just felt like saying something and thought I'd pour it out here.

paramore.

They're not who they used to be.

Now you can go ahead and call me a fake fan or whatever. At this point, I don't care much for that. paramore is gone. Accept that fact. What is left, whoever are those people performing up there on the stage, thats not paramore. They may be called Paramore, have merch that bear the name oh so proudly, be able to gather thousands of people to chant the name, but they're not it.

At least not the one I loved.

When the Farros left a part of my life was gone. Yes, paramore was a very big deal to me. I knew at the moment when I read that tweet, that I would never ever get over it.

The brothers were undoubtedly part of why paramore was so awesome. Together, they were fun. Without them, paramore seems to have lost its juice. Their new songs, bland and empty. Yes, Hayley may have sweetened the taste with her glorious vocals, but the music remains mostly uninteresting. Perhaps the new songs haven't caught up to me, but I definitely remember first hearing Brand New Eyes, and falling in love with it.

Monster? Renegade?

Not so much.

And it hurts more when they moved on so quickly. I understand they have to keep the fans happy and continue making music. Yet, I saw something which tells me that it was over. It's but a mere t shirt, with 5 words on it, that says "Paramore is still a band".

These 5 words did it for me.

It showed me the ugly side of the issue. Like a disgruntled, sore loser, they had to come up with this to convince people that they are doing fine. It's feels as if they're trying to say that they do not need the Farros at all. I don't know about you, but it looks like a cheap shot to me.

Honestly, my first reaction when I saw the shirt was 'what the hell...' and then disappointment.

Nice try guys, Paramore is still a band, but they're no longer THE band.

I hope that merch aren't really controlled by the members of the band and so maybe I can have some closure in believing that they arent so heartless after all.

Now I know I'm not being fair since there have been members who joined and left paramore also, but it's just that the band that I first listened to, I first fell in love with, no longer exists.

If someone wants to continue loving this new band, then very well, go ahead. I won't be judging you or forcing my opinion upon you.

And I know what I'll do when someone in the future comes up to me and says

"Hey! Have you heard the new Paramore single?"

To which I'll reply

"Nah I'm sorry, never did listened to that band much. But I remember this band years ago which I loved a lot that had a similar name. Yeah, that was the bomb."

After all, what's Justice League without Batman? 2 and a half men without Charlie Sheen? Fall Out Boy without Patrick Stump? paramore without the Farros?

You get my point?
