It's been a long but short day.
Long because I woke up at 6 with only 3 hours of sleep to go qing ming with parents all the way until mid-afternoon, where I tried for the first time my father's taxi which was manual and damn fun to drive. After which I went for haircut and then immediately went out to meet friends for dinner.
Short because well, it was enjoyable. And I want it to last longer.
Driving a manual vehicle was a highlight, because I really want to get my Class 2 license, which I will elaborate further in another post but the terms are that I learn Class 3 first. According to my parents learning a car will allow me to understand the danger motorcyclists experience and also how do car drivers actually feel.
Long story short, because I desperately want to own a motorcycle, I agree to go through Class 3 first, although there won't be a chance of me owning a car in recent years to come.
Manual was a lot more interesting compared to an auto drivetrain that my Terrex provides. Speaking of Terrex, I have to come up with a name for it and I still can't of any. Sigh.
Anyway, my dad noticed that most of the time I release my clutch to fast and it either results in a stall, which happened twice or mostly in the car dashing forward. Need to work on that.
Hmm.
But other than that I seem to have the basics in check, starting off and all.

Met up with a couple of mates earlier on for dinner. I'll be honest here. On a Sunday I usually don't go out with friends as I like to nua at home in lieu of booking in at night but I thought I'd just attend this meetup as I haven't seen them in awhile and it turned out to be pretty enjoyable.
We chatted, shared and laughed.
Over calories filled dinner and some decent ice cream.
Miss good times like this.

Had a socially awkward situation just now.
Was coming home from the said meetup on top and as I neared the lift I noticed a couple with plenty of plastic bags of goods on the floor. Naturally when the lift arrived I held it for them.
Here's what happened;
Husband: Thank you. (hastily grabbing as many bags as he can)
Me: it's okay..
He gives a weak smile, wiped his sweat from his brow and proceeded with the rest as his wife carries a few bags too.
There was one bag remaining and I helped to bring it inside as I let the elevator doors close.
Once all the bags are in the lift, the wife looked at me, smiled and muttered 'Thank you very much'.
I returned the smile, and answered 'hey no problem'.
The husband, still checking the bags, seemed to think I said something to him and replied, in a rather exasperated tone, 'you're welcome.'
As if realizing what he just said, he face went blank and his eyes looked at my from the side. I too, have no idea what to say.
*awkward~
This went on till I reached my floor and I exited.
Just something I thought I could share.
Oh and I almost forgot to talk about this, took a cab just now the bastard driver actually called me 'bro' and stuff and offered to add me on facebook to talk about some multilevel marketing shit.
He's actually promoting Organic shampoo and body wash.
With some 10-year approval certificate from China.
CHINA. OF ALL COUNTRIES TO CHOOSE FROM.
Genius.
I was damn peeved but kept my cool and acted interested. After all he was the driver and I did want to reach my destination and above all, keep my life.
Hate MLM. This is the second time I've encountered it this weekend. First was on Saturday when some guy wanted to sell Zaki and I collagen.
The fuck.
Why would I need that shit, it's not like I'm trying to make my lips look like Lil' Jon's or Angelina Jolie's.
Anyways, booking in later.
Tomorrow 9am move out to PLC, Tuesday ATP(pray pray pray) then Wednesday and Thursday driving.
Thursday afternoon Guard Duty to Fri morning, which is Good Friday.
Fuck you Aviva (not the insurance company but rather the nickname my company uses to call a certain someone) for shitty planning of duties.
As a MSG, you're really useless.
