Okay, so the title has absolutely nothing to do with this blogpost and uhh yeah.
Life is so mundane right now. Looking forward to next week where at least there will be more event like movies and ensemble dinner and birthdays. Not mine of course.
So these few days I have been doing nothing except going to school for lectures and all I do at home is sit in front of the computer. I can already feel myself putting on those pounds.
Even most of my games seem boring now. I have exhausted my interest on almost every game but GTA San Andreas. Yes I'm still playing GTA:SA coz I'm lazy to download GTA:IV. Alas, I have reached the last few missions of the game today and hell, my Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is still stuck at 26%. This sucks badly.
I'd like to think Singtel is to blame for all this. The crappy 2Wire modem is full of shit. People live in America where the land is so vast and yet can get up to 20mbps of connection. My MIO only has the maximum of 10mbps, and Singapore is so figgin tiny.
Even the 10mbps isnt doing its job. All it takes is for my dad to on the MioTv and all the bandwidth will be leeched from me. Now whose bright idea is it exactly to hook TVs up with the same modem used for computers.
Argghhhhh. Cannot take it lah seriously. My fingers are itching to Play Left4Dead 2 and the torrents are still not out yet. Utorrent is also another issue. It crawls along at a mere maximum of 80kbps, which is almost negligible compared to speeds I used to be able to get with my old settings, which was around 1mpbs.
Bah. Enough of my rant.
Guitar has been busy lately. Lotsa planning and allocation to be done. I also requested to switch my section to Guitar 1 as well, I heard playing melody was much easier. Let's just hope it works. Gonna have pizza dinner next wednesday yay. Okay I admit I wasn't very involved in the planning but hey, at least I was present in the conversation and provided some kinda support eh? lol.
On a side note, I wanna watch 2012. Yes, I know its kinda like a melodramatic disaster movie and also it is super exaggerated but I really want to see the special effects on the big screen. Seeing it on mere HD on youtube isn't enough and since it is a rather long movie, I reckon it would be more worth it than Paranormal Activity, which I felt I rated it a tad too early.
It's a shame people are getting so hyped up about this 2012 myth. I mean yeah it true that the Mayans calender ended on 2012 but that doesn't explain anything does it. They were very skilled astronomers, and they prolly got their shit right 90% of the time. Still, there wasn't any direct evidence that Cataclysm would hit on 2012 does it? The calender only hinted it.
My point is, everyone is like "whoa isit true the world is gonna end on 2012?" and I don't get why are they so anxious over a myth, when a very real impending disaster is already occurring. I'm talking of course, about the good ol' Global Warming.
It is obvious the Polar Ice Caps are melting at an alarming rate and Carbon Dioxide emissions are insanely high. However, it's too late to be pessimistic. The effects are blatantly staring at us yet we carry on with our life as if nothing's happening.
Okay to make this clear, this post wasn't intended to be about Global Warming and shit but I just mentioned it and so went with the flow.
As I'm typing this, I can hear some sounds coming from my CPU. If you ask me, weird sounds don't usually mean good. I fear for the worst. 3 weeks of using that shit old laptop was enough.
*Fingers crossed*
