After a couple minutes of cycling, we arrived on the destination.
Jackson, was super lucky, coz I had my McCafe card which Ivan gave me to let me use during my birthday. I gave Jackson and he got a free drink even thought it was like almost an hour after his birthday officially past. Melissa on the other hand had to borrow money lol.
P.S. It's not that they are poor, its just that they helped us to pay for majority of the BBQ cost since most people who were invited couldn't make it.
While we were waiting for them to finish their drinks, I saw Jackson putting his drink into the bottle-holder on the bike frame and I made a passing comment to Melissa to do the same thing to which she replied, "Don't want lah later drop."
Famous last words.
Within a few seconds, suddenly her hand somehow lost control and we all watched in awe as her drink slowly escaped from her grasp and began its descent towards the road. With a sickening sound it hit the ground and the cup which absorbed the majority of the impact contorted under the pressure, leading to the cap detaching itself from the cup. The next thing we knew, half of the drink was splattered all over the ground and the straw itself was strewn a couple of inches away.
Needless to say she hastily picked up and tried to salvage what was left of the drink. Fortunately Jackson had an extra straw (Don't ask me why) and gave it to her. Finishing the rest of the Mocha Frappe, we hopped onto our bicycles and turned the bikes to the right direction. This was it.
We had no training prior to this trip. We weren't sure of what to expect. However none of this could stop us from venturing deeper into the night, as the four of us pedaled the steel machines into the darkness...
